Influenster Latina Voxbox 2012

This is a very exciting post for me! Today I will talk about a pretty cool website that I registered about four months ago called Influenster. I heard about it from another blogger, and is the perfect website for anyone who loves to try out new products and share it with friends. It was so nice of Influenster to celebrate the summer season with a special "Latina Beauty" VoxBox. Thanks to product sponsors who specifically wanted to target members with a Hispanic heritage like me, I was qualified to participate and receive my first VoxBox. When you register, you will start unlocking badges. These badges are short surveys that help Influenster know more about your lifestyle and which voxboxes will be best for you. You must be involved in this community to increase your chances and be selected to receive theme voxboxes. Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips, Leg & Body: $9.99 

Summer is the season of sundresses, skirt, shorts, and bikinis. Keeping your skin smooth for this season, or even winter should be important for every woman. The Veet was strips can give you just that because these strips remove hair closer to the root than shaving. Pain wasn't that bad, but maybe I just have a high pain tolerance. I did experience some irritation after I was done with my legs but by next morning it completely healed. These strips are very practical and not as time consuming. You don't need to be an expert to do it right, just follow all the instructions and trust me the strips will work. I've used many hot waxes at home and resulted to be more painful and time consuming. It's always a mess and not as great if done at a salon. To me Veet products are great and can save a lot of time. I've actually purchase this brand before because it has proven to be effective on me; The old box I already had is on the right.
NYC New York Color Liquid Lip shine: $2.49

This is first time I ever try a NYC make up product for the lips; the color I received is the 582 Nude York City. The color is very neutral and creamy; almost like a clear lip gloss when I see it on pictures. It suppose to give you pure pigment ingredients that create a "3-D gloss effect." It has vitamin E that provides shine and moisture and has a caramel scent. It's not sticky like other cheap lip glosses so I really like that. Overall, it is a nice lip gloss. I found out you can try to put this gloss over your favorite red lipstick color. It gives a pretty nice effect.

Bath and Body Works is one of my top favorite stores. Their candles, lotions, shower gels, perfumes, etc...everything I LOVE! So without question, I was very pleased to receive a shower gel from BBW. Before getting my VoxBox, I was secretly hoping to get the Paris Amour instead of the other ones. Instead, I got the sweet pea but it's all good because I actually liked it. It didn't dry out my skin and the smell lasted for hours. These mini showers are also great for gifting. Back in mothers day I bought my mom the mini Pink Chiffon collection and we loved the scent. I still really want to try the Paris Amour, it seems to be the fans favorite..I have a feeling it might be my favorite scent too. I would recommend to try different scents because some can be too overpowering or soft. I will eventually find the perfect one...crossing my fingers and hoping

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen: $7.99 for full size bottle

Protecting my skin has always been important. I always prefer to buy beauty products that contain some SPF and Hawaiian Tropic products are always effective to give you the sun protection you need. I am in love with their products because they always have the perfect luxurious scent. This is no ordinary sunscreen because it gives a broad spectrum of SPF 30 protection and hydrates your skin in continuous moisture with rich Shea Butter in just one bottle. It's water resistant for 80 minutes and non-greasy. You may reapply every 2 hours..I would honestly reapply this many times, I just love the scent. It's also available in SPF 12 and 50
Always Radiant Infinity Pads: $6.99           

These pads came to me for the perfecting timing in that time of the month. I was in need to buy new pads because I ran out of my other pads and what better to test it out right away. The first thing I notice from these pads was the light clean scent which I found incredible. The smell it's not overpowering and covered  that period smell (if you know what I mean). I found out that it's super comfortable, soft, and has a flexible design that moves with you; I could hardly feel that I was actually wearing one. It has a unique style with a new fun packaging and wrapper. Absorbs 4 times more than you may need and the back is even wider. These pads perform as promised and are now my favorite.

This is the bonus sampler product I was sent to share it with a friend. I already gave it to my sister and she had a big smile when I gave it to her so I guess she loved it. This purse is a convenient storage for all your discreet disposal. I guess this wrist let is very practical to carry all your feminine care needs. It is stylish and  also could be use  for make up, traveling,  and even a day at the park. When you only need the basic things instead of bringing a big purse, this wrist let is so very convenient . A girl can never have too many purses, either tiny clutches or big stylish purses..and even wrist let are always welcome to have.

My Drugstore Make up

I will start with the EOS lip balms. The first one I tried was the Summer Fruit, put it on the moment I got it and after that my lips stayed smooth for hours, It is the best lip balm I have ever tried so far, I don't know how I didn't buy them earlier. The second one I got is the Sweet Mint and It does smells and feels very minty. I loved how I felt a cool sensation after a few seconds. These is what EOS website has to say about the lip balms:  eos lip balm is 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free.  America's favorite mascara has a new little grabber brush; the Maybelline's Great Lash Lots of Lashes mascara. It was great to try because it now has a unique cone/heart shape that easily reaches all lashes, even in the corners. Props to that because it makes the product more easy to apply than my other mascaras. The results keeps it promise and gave me lots of lashes after applying only two coats. After I am done with this one, I will purchase a different brand because I do like to experiment and try new mascaras, I have yet to find my top favorite

The Wet and wild sparkle confetti looks great over some eyeshadow or just alone. The glitter sticks to skin with no primer but I would still put some just so It can stay for longer. I love using it during daytime when the sun hits the sparkle, it does look very cute. You can even wear it anywhere in your body. A little on the cheeks, arms, or chest looks great.

Sample Products

 These are pictures of all the samples I have collected over the months.It has been my latest obsession to try new products in little samples before I purchase something new. My top 2 favorites are the Eucerin Daily Protection Moisturizing Body lotion and the new Biore pore unclogging scrub & the combination balancing cleanser. The one I really dislike was the Garnier BB cream (skin renew). It gave me a headache every time I put it on my face. I've actually come to realize all Garnier moisturizers gave me a headache so I will never purchase that brand.

The Febreze to the right was a pretty good smell.

The smell was so strong I had to put it in the bathroom instead of my room.

 

So many samples!! I am sure I will not be requesting more samples for a while or any.

The Aveda samples are another of my favorites. It's the first time I tried an Aveda beauty product and I fell in love with the smell and how soothing it feels on my skin.  

Burt's Bees now have a new lotion called Gud and come in three new scents:
Floral Cherrynova, Orange Petalooza, and Vanilla Flame.
I loved the smell of the Floral Cherrynova way better than
the one I got as a sample (Orange Petalooza) but that's just me. Each to their own ;)

Last but not least, perfumes!!! Gucci samples came in a small booklet with three different scents. 

Gorgeous Gardenia, Gracious Tuberose, and Glamorous Magnolia. All three smell great so no complains. Next is Escada in Island Kiss & Rocking Rio. The three a the bottom are Vince Camuto,  Petite Cherie by Annick Goutal and I got it from my birchbox that I won in April this year.
